Corporations Aren't People

 One of the things that people fail to realize is that corporations are not people. It seems like it should be obvious, but even the US Supreme Court has failed to recognize the difference. Another misconception is that corporations exist to provide jobs for people. This is also false. Corporations usually benefit from having fewer employees. Corporations lack even the most basic form of empathy. They exist for the single purpose of generating profit for their "shareholders". These "shareholders" consist of mindless computer algorithms focusing almost exclusively on quarterly profits. The corporation's top executives are not actually in control of them. The fact that some humans end up insanely wealthy is simply a side effect of the system. People do not control the corporations. The opposite is true. Corporations control people all the way up to the top executives.

I love Youtube because you can talk back to people by making comments. Here are some of my recent comments.

Harris does not support illegal immigration. Seeking asylum is not illegal. Congress worked out an immigration bill and Trump killed it for the sole reason he needed a talking point for his campaign. Immigrants tend to be highly educated, hard-working, and willing to do jobs others won't do. Shapiro shows his prejudice when he implies immigrants are lazy, drawing on benefits, and a drag on the system. Farmers need people who are willing to work on the farm. Food processing plants need people willing to work at the plant. Immigrants are not stealing the jobs of nonimmigrants. They are fulfilling a demand of the country.

The anti-DEI movement assumes that there is no longer any prejudice and discrimination that needs to be addressed. Are candidates selected because of their abilities or because they will "fit in" with the rest of the white men in the organization? DEI trains people about prejudices that they may not even be aware of because of their cultural background. Some people have been raised racist, sexist, anti-trans, or homophobic. They may not realize the comments they make are hurtful to certain people. Studies have shown that certain populations of students need additional resources to be successful. In some cases, this could be due to cultural backgrounds. First-generation college students are disadvantaged compared to people whose parents have attended college. Eliminating DEI programs hurts the most vulnerable populations in our communities.

Most economists believe tariffs will be passed on directly to consumers resulting in inflation.

Looking at tariff history tells a different story from what Trump claims. The Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act is believed to be one of the causes of the great depression of 1929.

So Trump isn't to blame for a worldwide pandemic but somehow Biden is to blame for worldwide inflation?

Kevin O'Leary says he hates doing business in China but if you ever watch Shark Tank and someone suggests manufacturing in the US, the sharks all suggest manufacturing in China.
